Cesta Lamp Design Miguel Mila by Santa & Cole

The Cesta lamp is the larger lamp in the Cesta series, it is designed by Miguel Mila in 1962. This design classic has been re-released by Santa and Cole, but now with LED technology and dimmer. This timeless design classic is handcrafted from steam-bent Cherry Wood. The handle on the lamp makes it easy to find the lamp to move. The bulb of the Cesta is made of opal white glass. The Cesta is 57 cm high and has a diameter of 33 cm and by Smukdesign supplied with the LED light source. Within the Cesta range is also a smaller version, the Cestita lamp, available.

LED

The light source of the Cesta Table lamp is a dimmable 8 Watt LED light source corresponding to the light output of a 75 Watt conventional light bulb. The color of the light is 2700 K, what we experience as  warm light. The LED Light source is included with the lamp.

Miguel Mila represents like no other person Spanish contemporary design. He belongs to the pioneers the fifties and has designed several classics of furniture and lamps. His start was not easy in a period where no resources were available, yet he has designed the TMC and the TMM Floor lamp in this period.
