Discus Birds Design Hans Bolling by Architectmade
The Discus birds are designed by Hans Bølling in 1961. The birds are designed in the shape of a Greek discus and are made of pine. They are each hand-painted. The painted parts represent the colorful plumage of the bird, while the breast of the bird remains unpainted and the beautiful natural properties of the wood shows. This gives a wonderful contrast between the painted parts and the wood on the birds. The birds are a family consisting of four members as a decoration can be placed on a dresser, in the window or on a table. The Small blue is 10 cm high, the Medium blue 17 cm, the Large grey 20 cm and the Large red is 21 cm high.
